a manifesto for the music retentive thereby forming a small collection of sometimes random observations, proclamations, and examinations of all things pertaining to music
the first time I did this was after I saw Madonna's Boderline video in 1984 and I was only like 15 years old but I still have a special spot in my heart for that tepid album. I actually had a discussion one time with a friend who had a Mariah Carey CD in his collection. When I gave him a hard time about it he said "yeah but have you seen her?" to which I replied, "yeah I don't mind LOOKING at her but it doesn't mean I wanna HEAR her"
Hmmm...let's see...Jewel (good music), Shania Twain (not good), Sarah McLachlan (great music...actually I probably bought because of the music but she is hot)
I haven't. Not because I have principals, but rather I am cheap. Grace Potter is probably the closest but I liked her music before I saw what she looked like. Back in the day I thought Pebbles was hot and I taped her videos. That probably doesn't count eh?
heh heh Pebbles... how soon we forget... that is until they become judges on American Idol or something ("c-c-old hearted snake, look into his eyes") was Pebbles a Prince prodigy? I remember her hanging around with Morris Day which makes me wonder.
I don't think she was part of the Prince brothel. I think she was apart of the LA and Babyface faction. However, I wouldn't put it pass Prince to have logged his time with her before she made it big.
have you ever bought music just because a chick in the band was hot?
In an average week how many DIFFERENT artists/bands do you listen to from your collection?
which famous band is most lilely to lose a member next?
how do you feel about "hidden" tracks on CD's?
select which genres of music you OWN and actually listen to
if you had time/money which new instrument would you like to learn?
how do you usually listen to most music
what would you like to see more of here? (choose up to 3 things)
the most important factor to consider when rating a great guitarist is:
GREAT MUSIC: if forced to pick only one, which would you say is the most important factor to consider when choosing an all-time-epic music group/artist
